Beachside Book Chats – Marika Sagnella

Speaking of Books – Throughout the summer, stock up on Summer reading at the book swap table located in the beach bar. Here, you can leave a book you have enjoyed and, in turn, take a book that you would like to read. Also, be sure to check out the RJ Julia Bookfair on July 7th!!

Mah Jong –

In recent years, many members have enjoyed learning how to play this fascinating game of winds, dragons, pungs, and kongs. We are currently looking for a teacher. If you are interested in learning, please email us at info@owenego.com.

Kayak Club – Paddle with Meg & Don

Led by Meg & Don Mitchell, we’ll enjoy some group sunrise and sunset paddles. – Dates TBA. If you would like to add your name to the kayak club email list, please email us at info@owenego.com. Be sure to register for USCG paddle craft safety instruction and inspection on Sunday, June 2nd.

So, here we are with the season stretched ahead of us. Part of what we love about The O is to grant members the opportunity to unplug, unwind, and slow-down from the hectic pace of life. We also like to grant members the opportunity to connect with others, while enjoying activities that spark their interests. So, please share your ideas. If there is a club or an activity that you would like to see happen at The O, please let us know by emailing us at info@owenego.com – cornhole tournaments, bridge, setback, etc… Parents, we would especially like to hear ideas for children – outdoor movies, music/theatrical classes, story hour, etc… Thanks!!!
